Premade Scrapbook Pages Shabby Chic Style for sale on my ebay!

I have recently added some premade layouts to my ebay shop and thought I would share with you! I love them both, and to be honest I was about to keep them... I thought it would be a good idea to keep it low key and supplement my graduate student income... (and scrapbooking habit! LOL!) This one I called Purple Perfect, and I started out with the beautiful purple silk bloom. The rest just fell into place. The detailing is rich yet clean and simple.

This one is called Shabby Chic LO, and I really liked the soft palette of the Tim Holtz papers I used.

A Scrappy New Year...

I wish everyone a very happy and scrappy 2011!! I've been slow on recovering from all the traveling and holiday busyness.  To be quite honest, I thought I had lost my inspiration!  For some reason I'm into minimalistic stuff right now, maybe I'm just lazy, but it poses an interesting challenge, to create something beautiful without much adornment.  Here's my latest batch of layouts. I recently signed up to get the Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook and I'm smitten so far! The kit was very reasonably priced and had so many goodies! No add-ons and I got very very cool papers, flowers, embellishments and fibers.  I had already bought the Night Divine collection, but it's always good to have more than one of these incredibly beautiful papers. In Loving Memory

Dear bloggers, my family is in mourning.  My dear sister passed yesterday morning.  Her body could not take the prescribed treatment and she is now in peace and free of pain.   She was the most loving person I know, and also the most amazingly kindhearted sister.  I will take a break from blogging to be with my family.  I thank you for visiting my blog. Poinsettia Wreath

I have accumulated so much ribbon lately that I was looking for ways to use it to make some holiday decor.  I remembered how my grandmother used to make wreaths for every holiday and I used to sit down in her kitchen table and look at her beautiful creations.  I clearly remembered the Day of the Dead wreaths she made with crepe paper, wire, and ribbon.   In my nostalgia I thought about using my ribbon to decorate a wreath.  I had some cardboard left over and I drew a circle and cut it out to use it as the base.  Then I started scrunching up the wired ribbon all around. I used glue to keep it into place and mini brads on some parts, just to keep it in place but I took them away when it was dry. The poinsettias are from Michael's.  They have stems with 3-4 poinsettias for like $1.99.  I kept the palette soft and used white and gold poinsettias.  By the way, did you know poinsettias come from Mexico?
